I got this shot while at Gloria’s for a cook out. I love getting pictures of bumble bees. They look so fuzzy and soft. Since getting a macro lens, I have found a new love for bugs. I don’t care for bugs at all unless I am trying to get a picture of them.
I found this cute little mushroom in Gail’s yard and wanted to get a picture of the underside of it. Mushrooms are so fun to find and photograph and I am still on the hunt for more colorful mushrooms for my photography collection.
Natalie and I saw Sex and the City 2 and then enjoyed dinner at Chammps. We ordered what I think is the most fabulous drink ever created:
Rock Star Martini
SKYY Infusions Raspberry Vodka, DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker, Monin Very Blueberry, fresh sour and Sprite in a martini glass rimmed with Pop Rocks. YUM!
Adam was trying to show Alexander how to blow the puffs off of a dandelion and it was too cute to not take a picture. It is a lot of fun to watch Adam and Alexander spend time together and share a bond that only a father and son can.
Natalie informed me that she had a peony bush in her front yard and seeing how those are my absolute favorite flower ever, I had to go over after work to get some pictures. The shrub had two blooming flowers on it and they were so pretty. I think I want to plant one in our yard for next spring.
Alexander LOVES popcicles and I got a set of plastic holders so we could make some at home with flavored syrup. It even has a little straw on the side to slurp up the drippings. Brilliant!
At work today we had a new diesel tank installed and it was interesting to watch the technician move the tank from the truck to the ground. He wore a belt that had the controls on it and it was like playing a real life video game. Up, down, left, right, repeat.
I found this little guy on this flower while trying to get a close up of just the flower. I was pretty excited that I got him in focus. But I also noticed he was a red ant and after getting the picture, I quickly moved from the spot I was standing in.
This is probably one of my favorite pictures ever. I just love the colors and how the flower is curled up into itself. I have a friend who comes to mind whenever I look at it. Something about the colors just makes me think of her and makes me smile. We have become good friends over the last year and I love getting to chat with her every day.
While walking around downtown Annapolis, I cam upon a store that put out a water bowl and a treat bowl for any dogs that may come by. A lot of people were out walking with their dogs and I just found this to be so cute.
