Day One Hundred and Seventy One

June 20, 2010

After I found out I was pregnant with Alexander 3 years ago, Adam got a tree sapling to plant in the front yard.  It pretty much resembled a stick with some roots.  Today, it is has flourished into a somewhat decent looking young tree.  A few of the branches have some damage from all of the snow we got this winter, but I think this tree will be very nice when it is full grown.

Day One Hundred and Sixty Four

June 13, 2010

My view from my beach chair.  The beach was private and wasn’t too crowded.  I didn’t stay out too long because it was so hot out, but I did enjoy some sun and even put my feet in the water.

Day One Hundred and Fifty Seven

June 6, 2010

Rachel and I took the kids to a farm where you can pick your own fruit.  We had a lot of fun picking strawberries and raspberries.  We wanted to pick cherries too, but they weren’t ripe yet.  I can’t wait to go back and pick some more fruit.  They had everything you can think of there to pick and the prices weren’t bad either.  The best part was you could snack while picking.

Day One Hundred and Fifty

I found this cute little mushroom in Gail’s yard and wanted to get a picture of the underside of it.  Mushrooms are so fun to find and photograph and I am still on the hunt for more colorful mushrooms for my photography collection.

Day One Hundred and Forty Three

May 23, 2010

This is probably one of my favorite pictures ever.  I just love the colors and how the flower is curled up into itself.  I have a friend who comes to mind whenever I look at it.  Something about the colors just makes me think of her and makes me smile.  We have become good friends over the last year and I love getting to chat with her every day.

Day One Hundred and Thirty Six

May 16, 2010

This little flower/weed was growing in the yard and I just love the colors of the magenta and the white.  Our yard is full of these little weeds and while I know I shouldn’t like them, I do.

Day One Hundred and Twenty Nine

May 9, 2010

I love taking my camera to my mother-in-law’s house.  She always has the prettiest flowers blooming.  Flowers have always been my favorite thing to photograph -the colors, the shapes, everything about them is so beautiful.

Day One Hundred and Twenty Two

May 2, 2010

The snow we got this winter may have damaged our azalea bushes, but they are still blooming and look as pretty as ever.  I love pulling up to our house in the spring when everything is in bloom and there is so much color in our yard.
