Day One Hundred and Seventy

June 19, 2010

Welcome home from the beach!  Both Adam and I have the flu (although the minute clinic told us we had mono, yeah right) and we feel miserable.  Thankfully Bill and Gloria offered to take Alexander for the night so we could rest and try to get some sleep.

Day One Hundred and Sixty Three

June 12, 2010

This little guy was sitting on top of the gas pump we stopped at to get gas on our way to the beach.  He sat there the whole time I was taking pictures and occasionally would move his antenna back and forth.  He was the perfect model.  I named him Hopper after the grasshopper in “Bugs Life”.

Day One Hundred and Fifty Six

June 5, 2010

I was so excited to get this shot.  I have been dying to get a picture of a dragonfly and now I have one.  I would love to get more when I can set up my tripod and use manual focus and get something a bit more crisp, but I was thrilled that this little guy sat still long enough for me to get a couple of pics.

Day One Hundred and Forty Nine

May 29, 2010

Natalie and I saw Sex and the City 2 and then enjoyed dinner at Chammps.  We ordered what I think is the most fabulous drink ever created:

Rock Star Martini

SKYY Infusions Raspberry Vodka, DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker, Monin Very Blueberry, fresh sour and Sprite in a martini glass rimmed with Pop Rocks.  YUM!

Day One Hundred and Forty Two

May 22, 2010

While walking around downtown Annapolis, I cam upon a store that put out a water bowl and a treat bowl for any dogs that may come by.  A lot of people were out walking with their dogs and I just found this to be so cute.

Day One Hundred and Thirty Five

How to create a perfect picture:  a fluffy dandelion + a cute tiny ant + a photoshop texture = something I can’t wait to get enlarged and hang on my wall.  I am pretty proud of this one.  It looks more like art than a photograph.

Day One Hundred and Twenty Eight

May 8, 2010

Adam and I took Alexander to the Baltimore Zoo today.  It was a lot of fun and Alexander really enjoyed seeing all the animals.  When we got to the giraffes, we found out that for $2.00 you could feed them.  Alexander got in line, but when it came to his turn, both the giraffes lost interest in feeding and wandered off.  I was hoping to get a cute picture of Alexander feeding one of the giraffes, but being able to get one of them to look right at me was pretty cool too.

Day One Hundred and Twenty One

May 1, 2010

I headed down to Ellicott City for an engagement shoot and while I was waiting for the couple to arrive, I saw this stand of handbags outside of one of the shops and I thought they were so pretty.  It took everything I had not to buy one (or more)!
